The history of central china normal university can date back to Boone College which was founded by Episcopal church of the U.S.A in 1871. In 1910, under the  effort of Mary Elizabeth Wood from America who was the teacher of Boone college, the first real sence of  public  library -the Boone Library was
founded. The history of Central China Normal University Library can be traced back to the Boone Library in 1910.
